The advantages of feeding a high quality paste food to your Koi are endless.  It is a well-known fact that the more food is processed, the more nutrients are lost.  Pellet foods are extruded through a machine at very high temperatures, leaving it with far less nutritional value than it started out with.  Some food manufacturers have addressed this problem by coating their food after cooking so that the ingredients can then be absorbed into the pellet without being exposed to the heat. With paste food there is no heating process involved in production at all.

* To make paste food, mix 1 part of powder to 3/4 part of water.   Get a large bowl, put in the powder, add water slowly and massage the powder until it reaches consistency.   If you add too much water, add some more powder to absorb the extra water.
